What age did you give up 10.30/11pm feed

DD is nearly 7 months and started weaning at 6 months. We started gradually reducing the 10.30pm bottle until she was only taking 2oz then stopped. All was fine and she slept through for a few days but now she’s back to waking twice a night and will not settle until I feed her. I tried bringing back the late feed but just 4oz and she’s still waking up.

What she did everyone drop this bottle and do you think I’ve tried to drop it too early? DS dropped it at 6.5 months and never woke in the night so I think I just tried to do the same but I realise all babies are different and I was probably just very lucky with him! I’m just worried if I go back to doing a full bottle she won’t want her morning bottle as she’s really not fussed for it if she’s had milk in the night. Any advice appreciated.

We never fed after bedtime at 7pm (unless they woke up and that tended to be after 1am). Are you dream feeding?

If she's waking up hungry and not bothered about morning bottle then I would drop the morning bottle and keep the night time bottle!

Alternatively, you might just need to increase daily calories from solids.

You may want to up what she is eating in day but not feed her to late in day as then she might not be hungry for bedtime bottle. Then she's likely to wake up hungry in middle of night.

I was having same issue albeit my baby was waking up at around 1am but I health visitor asked me to not give him his tea any later than four and it worked a treat as he was drinking all his bedtime bottle at 7/7.30 and he carried on through

I’ve tried increasing food during the day but she’s just not interested. Funnily enough her bedtime bottle at 6.45pm is the only one she takes without issue. The rest are a struggle and usually have to be done in two sittings.
Yes I was dream feeding at 10.30/11pm and that’s what I was trying to cut out but I wonder if she just genuinely needs the calories as her bottles during the day are not hugely big. She does have breakfast, lunch and tea too though.

Ah ha, maybe a bigger bottle at 6:45pm?

In those early weaning days we also found it useful to feed a little porridge close to bedtime! Probably not advised by the professionals 😅 but it did work until they could eat a bit more over the day.
