Baby feeding less

Hi all

new to mumnet, I have a 10 week old baby that has recently started Neocate and Omeprazole. She is taking less each feed, will take 60/70 but then when we go to burb her ( which is also really hard to do) she won’t take anymore after. She screams and gets really irritated. We have to wait and then try again. A feed takes a good hour and even then we are lucky if she takes 120ml. Has anyone else experienced this please help I have already seen multiple dr. I need to weigh her this week to see if her weight has been affected. Not sure what to do now. Should I just let her be and let her take what she wants. But then my worry is dehydration and lack of growth. Feeling stressed with nowhere to turn

Generally, if they are having several (more than like, if I remember well) wet nappies a day and not lethargic, they are not dehydrated. How much they drink changes over time. Maybe your baby eats less per feed but feeds often, or is just in a phase that they need a little less. Healthy babies take what they need. But I f you’re worried, do contact your HV!

She’s not really feeding more often, we offer if every 3/4 hours and then it’s just not going down so well. She was taking 900mls a day at one point and then this just stopped. Wee nappies are ok but she does seem sleepier and is falling asleep at the bottle which is the only way we can get the feed into her.

How are things now @kiki100.

I'd be concerned if she had started to be more sleepy.

If you're in the UK, I'd speak to Allergy UK Flowers
