Unsettled baby- reflux?

Hi, my LG is 4 weeks now. Since day 4 she has been so unsettled. Crying constantly, not sleeping for longer than 30 minutes. She has been fussing with feeding (BF and formula bottles during the day) she cries after feeds as well and it’s next to impossible to settle her. She doesn’t like being in a sling, pushed in pram, in the car, even being held she can cry and cry. We’ve been to the dr who said she had reflux and prescribed gaviscon we didn’t notice any difference, she was put on omeprazole but we this caused her to throw up full bottles - before this she only had thrown up mouthfuls. So stopped the tablet. Dr has advised to go back on the omeprazole along with carobel but I’m wary of putting her back on it.

life with an unsettled baby is so difficult and me and partner are struggling so much. We’ve changed her bottles, she’s on lansinoh, her formula - we switched from kendamil (as she wasn’t any more settled on it) to HIPP organic - again no change in her. We do slow paced feeding, she is so difficult to wind as she’s crying all the time, we do try to settle her to wind but very little comes up.
we’re waiting on cranial osteopathy appointment but they are so busy and I don’t have high hopes. She has had oral assessment and they said she just has tension in her tongue which could be causing feeding difficulties, we are doing the exercises but again no change in baby.

should I continue with omeprazole? Is there any hope? One exhausted drained emotional wreck mum

I've never heard of tension in the Tongue before. Just wondering if he's actually got Tongue Tie? Do his symptoms sound anything like this?

Reflux and a super unsettled baby could be a cows milk protein allergy. We had similar with my first born and it's really hard so sending you solidarity. I was BF so had to go completely dairy free. If you are FF you might need to ask for a hydrolysed formula (Neocate). As soon as we got the dairy free feeding under control things improved (he was also on Omeprazole which helped too).

I was also going to say possibly CMPA.
I find omeprazole hit and miss. It was ok with my first but made my 2nd 10 times worse and seemed to give him such a stomach ache.
If they've said he has tension in the tongue, I would go and see a private tongue tie practitioner if you're able to as that just sounds like tongue tie?
My 2nd was crying in pain for ages after feeds until eventually we tried lactose free milk which stopped his pain. He's still sick but sleeps and is happy so we can deal with it.
Research CMPA and if her symptoms are the same then speak to your GP.
My first was the same, always crying, never slept and was so sick so I know how hard and exhausting it is Flowers you're not alone xx
