Should I move up to the next flow of teat?

My 8 week old seems to drink just 2 or 2.5oz a time for most feeds, she will go back to it 15 mins or so later for more but rarely finishes a 4oz bottle I make her.

She falls asleep or sort of loses interest, I don’t think she really rejects the bottle.

Is this amount normal? I feed her every 2 hours or so from the first feed of the few she might do.

I’ve tried waiting til she’s really hungry, e.g. after a long nap, and she does finish a bottle then.

But I just gave her a ready made 70ml bottle we had in the cupboard which had a Nuk teat as opposed to MAM, which I use for her normal bottles, and although this is for newborns, she finished it a lot quicker than she’d finish 70ml with the MAM teat!

I am wondering whether I need to go to the size 2 MAM teat? She doesn’t get frustrated or seem like she’s sucking heavily on the size 1 so I’m apprehensive about doing it if she’s not showing clear signs of needing to, I just worry she’s not getting enough and it would be great if she could finish a bottle in one sitting!

From personal experience, I had to go on a trip and only had the big MAM bottles with size 2 teats. My baby was 2 months old at the time and they were too much for her and she would be sick a lot. However, you could try size 2 teats and only let your baby have 0.5/1 OZ at a time and burp them to avoid spit ups. Are you formula feeding? If so, they need feeding less regularly and get full quicker, I think the normal is a bottle every 3/4 hours with that.
