Hi guys, DD is 14 months, on a Monday and Tuesday whilst I’m at work, DH takes the night routine. DD can either sleep all night or wake once for a feed, so my breasts have relaxed a little over night. When getting her to sleep last night she fed on the left and fell asleep, I think I must have forgotten when she last fed on the right side as when she woke during the night my right breast was sore but I fell back asleep until she woke an hour later so I begrudgingly went in 😂 she fed for awhile on the affected side, and then again in the morning. But now I feel flu like, my temp is .1 away from a fever, and I ache all over. My breast is sore but no lumps or redness. I’m unsure if the flu like is connected, but would you call the GP, or try and sort out your breast as much as you can?
I had a blocked duct a month ago I managed to sort quite quickly, but also had mastitis in April. My dad unfortunately was passing away in hospital from sepsis whilst I had a blocked duct and I didn’t have my daughter to feed to help out. Ended in urgent treatment centre half hour after he died to get prescribed antibiotics as it turned to mastitis so I’m SUPER anxious it’s mastitis again (and constantly panicky about sepsis).
just never sure when a blocked duct turns into something a trip to the doctor is needed for.
