could very well be thrush, that's what it turned out to be with my ds

Does it disappear when he's finished his milk or is it there all the time? If it's always there it could be thrush. Best to get it checked as when thrush develops it can get very painful for them as it will be red raw underneath the white layer. You will get some antibiotic drops to put on his tongue - hope this helps!!

There all the time as of yesterday I think.

Do I need to go to GP or can I buy something over the counter?

Could be normal. Does this help here

JaNgLyBELLS · 14/12/2004 17:51

Says if its just on tongue and nowhere else - just milk residue.

Nimme · 14/12/2004 17:56

Just on tongue I think.

you need to get stuff from the gp - you'll get anti-biotic drops. Ds also got some oral dactarin drops because the anti-biotics didn't shift it. It's quite hard to get rid of so best to go to docs just in case and catch it early

Okay will start by going to super pharmacist tomorrow.

thanks all

Not antibiotics - anti-fungals...the pharmacist should be able to supply you with the right stuff, and if you are breastfeeding, your nipples may need treatment too.

Thank you all.

Thrush diagnosed - on drops and cream.

Hopefully it will clear quickly.
