Cluster / flutter feeding

Baby is 4 weeks old and is feeding constantly for hours in the evening non stop, it's more flutter feeding than swallows. I'm not concerned about her getting enough milk as her nappies are fine.
Is it normal for her to cluster feed as in flutter feed for hours?

Hi! Yes totally normal. This is her establishing your supply. It came as a real shocker to me first time round, second time I was ready to embrace it (and DH had forewarning that he was responsible for toddler bedtime and cooking dinner 🤣). At times it feels like it will go on forever but it really wont, and she'll start to go off to sleep for the evening earlier

A midwife described those flutters as them "putting in their order for the next day" which I thought was a really nice way of thinking of it.
