Add more ready made formula to bottle?

Hi all. I am using cow and gate ready made formula (RMF) at the moment for my 3 week old. He is starting to finish his bottle and want more…can I add more RMF to the bottle he was already drinking from or do I need to get a new sterilised bottle for his top up? Midwife seemed to think it was fine to add more RMF to original bottle but I’m sure I read somewhere that’s it’s not! Thanks.

I would top it up if you had just finished feeding and your baby wanted more right away.

Each formula will have its own instructions but usually it's 2 hours max if it's left out. So no, after 3 hours I wouldn't feed it to a baby.

Thankyou for replying IV just read the carton and it says once opened store in the fridge doesn't say anything about store with in 2 hours
