Hi guys just want a little advice. I am going to call the doctors in the morning also but wondered if this had happened to anyone else’s child. My baby is 10 weeks and in the past 2 weeks has only just started finishing her 4 ounce bottles. Doctor was happy with her weight at check up and said as long as she’s having 20 ounce a day for her weight it was fine. I’ve had no concerns until the past 3/4 days she’s just stopped having her full bottle. She would feed every 4 hours now it’s all over the place. She won’t take the whole 4 ounce only 2 at most so I thought she would demand feeding more often but no she hasn’t even seem bothered. She still seems fine not poorly still smiling ect. But I’m just worried I thought maybe it’s a growth spurt but I wouldn’t say she’s been sleeping more than usual only little short naps here and there. She started sleeping through about 3 weeks ago but last night even woke up for a feed because she isn’t getting enough through the day. It’s not like she’s struggling with her bottles (she’s had reflux since birth so I can tell when it’s that). Just worried really. Going to try wake her every 2 hours for the rest of the night and give her 2 ounce at a time but just worried to be honest and wondering if it’s normal. She has had plenty of wet nappies (she barely has poos only every few days she is on constipation cow and gate milk) my mum said perhaps she just doesn’t like milk and to give a few weeks and try her on food instead. But I see online it says to not start food yet but I will ask the doctor because maybe I can start her at 4 months. Some babies I know are on about 8 ounce by now but she just hasn’t seemed to ever want more than 4 so now she’s not even having that I’m so worried even though she seems content. Maybe I’m overthinking but always seems like one problem or another with a newborn tbh!

Does she have any other issues alongside the relfux and constipation?

Wondering if she could be allergic to cows milk ?

My LO is 10 weeks. I always make up 6oz bottles and they take 6 feedings per day. However their intake per bottle can range anywhere from 2oz to finishing it. Their normal total range for a day is usually between 24oz and 32oz.

My HV said not to worry as long as they are having plenty of wet nappies. My LO is in the middle of the bell curve and gaining weight in line with that.

What weight is your baby?

They are the only issues atm. But when I contact the doctors I will bring this up.

Hi at her last check up 2 weeks ago she was 10.3 when born she was 6.13. So she has put weight on to get my baby weighed we have to book an appointment in our are but when I contact the doctors tomorrow he will probably ask me to come in so he can check her weight.

she was always like that in the beginning with her bottles but I found it was her acid making her not been able to finish them so I tried gripe water which worked for a while but then moved onto infacol and it has stopped it completely but also think that’s what is causing her to have less poos. But since I put her on infacol she has been finishing every bottle I’ve given her so now that’s she’s not just seems random like something is wrong. But hopefully doctors can give some advice tomorrow.
