How long does 800g of formula last you?

I know it depends on age/how hungry the baby is. I’m trying to roughly figure out how much £ per month it will cost us - any ideas?

Each oz of milk is 4.5g of powder.
In the first few months when your baby is drinking between 20oz and 30oz per 24 hours, a tub will last about 6-8 days if there's no wastage.
If you end up throwing lots of milk away because the baby isn't drinking it all or if they vomit a lot, might only last 5 days.

My grandson is just under 6 months and a tub of formula usually lasts about a week.

@Heidihooo it will also depend on the size of the baby. Once they're about 5-6 weeks they'll need roughly 2.5 flux per pound in weight a day.

So if you and DH are both fairly tall and you're expecting a big baby they'll get through the formula quicker than if you're both fairly small and expecting a smaller baby.

I think mine lasted 4-5 days per tub.

About 5 days with a 4.5 month old

I remember it lasting just under a week.

I used the child benefit, it's £97 now (is this what it's called?) to get in what I needed for the month;
Formula
Nappies
Wipes
Bath wash
And then eventually food when we started weaning.

5 ish days here. DD is 6 months but small-ish, and not a big milk drinker.

For the first few months I would write the date we opened it on the box in permanent marker - I didn’t have the headspace for working out how long it lasted!
