(13weeks) Fussing with feeds/more windy and gripey

The last few weeks he’s gone back to feeds taking super long because we have to keep stopping and starting to wind him, he doesn’t seem to have trouble getting wind up he’s just gripey. Even 2 hours after a feed he will suddenly start squirming and have an extra burp! He used to feed much better, having 1 break in the middle and after to wind but now it’s just gone back to the early newborn days where it feels like each feed is taking forever again! He fusses about but it’s obvious he’s hungry and wants it. There’s no/minimal air bubbles in his formula milk, and he feeds in a good position etc, nothing has changed.
Has anyone else gone through something similar around this time?! Is it just to do with the growth spurt? Hoped it would pass soon 😩

I'm having the same problem with my 14 week old. It was for a week and then it gets better some times and then again, he gets extra squirmy and he is taking hour long feeds. For my 3 month old, it's also a reflux issue and he is quite gassy and gripey. Have you tried gripe water? Or infacol? Sometimes that works

Yes same with mine it’s taking an hour to complete a feed now! I have tried both here and there and never noticed much difference. I’m going to try the next size teat tomorrow and see if that’s any help… can only hope!

Just wanted to say we went up a teat size and he’s gone back to drinking the bottles great again, no more stopping and starting constantly 🙏

@Redw That's great news!! Im glad!! My son is still the same unfortunately 😅 what teat and bottle are you using currently? What did was you using previously?

Ah I hope you get some luck soon! We use Dr Browns bottles and just changed from level 1 to level 2, so I think he was getting fed up with the flow. So far we have had 2 good days of good feeds to fingers crossed that was the trick and it stays this way lol
