Feeding expressed milk

Hi, not sure if I'm overthinking this one but here we go!

Dd is EBF, when she started sleeping longer at night around 4/5 weeks I started pumping in the mornings and storing the milk in the freezer. I wanted her to have a few bottles a day but that didn't happen as she refused. I stopped pumping when she was about 3 months but have a huge stash in the freezer now that she wouldn't take.

Now at nearly 7 months she's decided she will take a bottle. However I've read that your milk changes as baby grows nutrients wise as to what they need at the time, so will that milk be no good for her now as that was pumped when she was newborn? I know it keeps for 6 months in the freezer but not sure. I have been using some in the bath to use it up but still got loads!

Thankyou

It does change but not that dramatically. It will probably be fine. Nutrients wise it's only a fraction of her daily intake (assuming you're talking about 1 bottle a day)

Consider that some mothers tandem feed a newborn with a toddler, they both get the same milk then.

Agree, it will be absolutely fine.

Thanks both, glad to hear I was overthinking!
