Can anyone tell me whether its likely that bf ds has thrush? He has a white tongue and a bit of a sore bottom. I also have one or two tiny whitehead type spots on one nipple!

could be - it's not uncommon especially if you've had antibiotics and/or nipple damage. You should speak to a Bf counsellor and/or GP quickly as it can be quite difficult to treat if it gets established. Gp may give you Nystatin but i've not found that to work well - Daktarin oral gel and cream worked better. If you need big guns, fluconazole can work well but many GPs won't prescribe this for BF babies.

Others swear by grapefruit seed extract but I've not tried it.

Good to treat it though as can make Bf painful if spreads to ducts and babies can be unsettled if their mouths hurt...
