My baby woke up at 5:47am usually she’ll have a bottle but this morning she just seemed to want to play and didn’t want her bottle she’s 10 weeks old it’s now 6:51am I’ve made a fresh bottle as she’s sleepy but doesn’t want the bottle yet wants the dummy and is happy to suckle that ?? She had 2oz at 2am and 4 or 5 oz at 4:30am

How old?

hotcheeto · 25/07/2023 08:09

My baby was the same for a good 8 weeks. He seems to have grown out of it now, he's 19 weeks this week.
Just try and fill baby up the rest of the day. My son would guzzle milk from about 2pm onwards all evening and night. Just watch you don't fall into reverse cycling where baby drinks more at night than in the day, but from the oz they had overnight it doesn't sound likely.

Last night my little one had 22oz over 4 bottles between 7pm and 4am 🫠 but at least he's drinking his morning bottle now too.

I have heard they can go off eating when they're having a growth spurt or a regression.

It’s in the OP!

Shes likely not hungry yet. She had an ok amount in the night so I wouldn’t worry. Just offer her some more milk as and when.

@LittleBearPad I missed it so shot me. I find it odder that you post on someone else’s thread just to talk someone down and not only don’t offer any help but fail to acknowledge the OP.

@Lollibert how is your lo now? Mine often weren’t very hungry in the morning.

My second paragraph was to the OPConfused

Soggysummer....... except that Littlebear did acknowledge the op. And said what I was also going to say. She had plenty during the night, at 2am and 4:30am so wasnt hungry again only an hour/hour and a half later - much more helpful than the two words you commented with.
Lollibert Im no expert but it sounds like shes doing fine to me.

@Soggysummer2023 not much interest in bottles today very colicky the entire day just screamed through each and every bottle and when I took it away she’d cry 5mins later for her bottle again I’m exhausted mentally I hope tomorrow will be a better day

I’m very sorry. I’ve clearly lost the plot and it’s time for me to step away from MN.

I’m sorry that sounds like hard work. If your gut says something is wrong then get her checked put by the GP. It was around this age that my children’s CMPA became worse.

@Soggysummer2023 CMPA has been ruled out as she was on the milk for it but no improvement so went back to her usual milk

There are different types of ‘dairy free’ formula. The first ones prescribed only have the dairy broken down but the more expensive ones are completely dairy free. If you think it could be cmpa ask on CMPA Facebook group for advice.

My oldest wasn’t diagnosed until 11 months. We did go the GP a few times and were dismissed. With my youngest the paediatrician dismissed my concerns but I was bf this time and I was able to go dairy and soya free and she was completely different.
