Will only bf to sleep now

7mo ds. He's ebf and on 1-2 meals a day but doesn't swallow much yet.

He seems to have got into a habit of only wanting to bf when it's time for his naps. He won't take the breast on waking or in between. I'm finding I need to express a little more to stop the very full feeling,

He's SO distracted when feeding and won't multitask with bf and looking about. When do they grow out of this and any tips on breaking the habit of bf to sleep in luv

Just to be clear, I don't want to stop feeding to sleep but I want the feeds in between that we were having

That sounds tough! At this age, baby will still be getting most of their nutrients from milk but they are often easily distracted. It may be worth going back to basics with it and really looking for those early hunger cues to time it when baby is most likely to feed. You could also feed in a room with few distractions - dark and quiet rooms tend to help distracted babies feed. It's also worth keeping offering milk before food. It's very likely just a little phase baby is going through but you're right to be looking at getting back to your normal level of feeding and keeping an eye on it. How's baby's weight doing?

I do fry those things. Really tricky with a toddler at home too 🤦‍♂️. We're going away next week and I have massive anxiety about the plane journey and bf.

Breastfeeding on a plane is the best! No bottles to faff about with. Bung baby on the boob at any sign of sore ears etc.

Just realised all of those mistakes in both posts! First one I was laying on toddler's bedroom floor, willing her to sleep and the other I was navigating breakfast time 😆.
