Period? 9 weeks postpartum and EBF

Hi ladies,

I'm 9+2 weeks postpartum and have been exclusively breastfeeding. I had an uncomplicated vaginal birth and bled afterwards on and off up until around 6/7 weeks.

I've started bleeding again today and I'm wondering if this is more PP bleeding or if my periods have started already? I'm a first time mum but from what I've seen online it would be very unusual for a period to return so early when EBF!

Any ideas?

I think my period has just returned 9 weeks PP. baby has been fussy all week and hoping it’s not low supply, she did also get her jabs on Monday. How can you tell low supply , is it obvious?

It's possibly a growth spurt and your supply needs to catch up with demand. It just means baby will want to feed more frequently and for longer. Are you offering the 2nd breast?

Our bodies are amazing and your supply will catch up after a few days. Try rest more and drink plenty of fluids and eat enough.
