I gave my 2 month old gripe water in a dropper dispenser thingy and when I squeezed the dropper after her feed it’s like she wasn’t expecting it and started coughing and choking afterwards her breath sounded crackly and congested for a few minutes and then she went to sleep I put her over my shoulder and patted her back for a few minutes now her breathing sounds clear she’s still asleep and seems comfortable I’m waiting for a call back from 111 and I’m just waiting for her smart sock to charge so I can monitor her oxygen levels has this happening to anyone else was your baby ok

She'll be absolutely fine - she probably just gagged a little. Try not to panic.

@GoodChat what about the crackly breathing she had for a few minutes? I’ve got her smart sock on her now it’s saying her oxygen levels are fine I’m literally watching her every breath and sticking my ear to her chest every few minutes to see if I can hear cracking she’s my first baby I love her so much I don’t want her to get dry/secondary drowning or aspiration pneumonia from inhaling a liquid 😭

No she'll be fine don't worry and don't obsessively check her oxygen levels x

apparently that happens often with gripe water, they really should take it out of shops!

They really should.
