Tommee tippee teats - does your baby somehow squish them down?

When feeding?

DD is nearly 3 weeks old and I don't know if she just sucks too hard but on every feed she squishes the teats down - not sure if she'll stop doing this at some point or if the teats are rubbish!

Anyone else had this?

I don’t know if it applies to that teat, I think the advice is if the teat is sucked in then go up to the next teat because they are working hard to get milk out? No idea if that’s the issue though because I haven’t used tommee tippee sorry. Google it and see what other forums have said about it if you haven’t already?

Have you checked the valve is opening to allow air in? Pinch it together at the sides & it should open. It might help. If not, try the next flow level up.

Thanks both I will try both.

She's on the number 1 tests, and is only 2.5 weeks old, plus she was small so I'd be surprised if she needs to go up to number 2 tests already.

We started her on these little bottles which took a max of 100ml, which I think maybe she needed to suck harder on, so maybe she's still adjusting to the tommee tippee teats. Either way I will take in advice!

You need to pinch the valve on the inside. That stops this happening.
