Hello - I am hoping someone can shed some light. I am b/feeding a 4 month old and expressed some milk on Wed morning. It's been in the fridge since then. I've read that it's ok in there for 72 hours.....my question is if DH took it out of the fridge and out with him and the LO, would he have to put it in a cool bag or could he take it just in the baby bag (so it would get to room temp)If so, how long do you think it would be ok for???

also, can you freeze it if has been in the fridge for 48 hours or should you freeze it as soon as it's expressed??

juts trying to make sure we don't waste it! Any help on this is much appreciated. thank you

For future reference I probably wouldn't freeze after 48 hours, but I certainly sometimes freeze EBM from the day before.

Remember if you are storing it in the fridge, it lasts longer in the main body of the fridge rather than the door.
