Help! Baby won’t accept new formula!!

my 5 week old baby was prescribed sma althera for suspected cows milk allergy I’ve been going through hell all day to try get her to drink it but she doesn’t seem to like it she is crying and trying to spit out the teat

Can you mix some of the new formula in with the old, and mix it over that way?

Build up the amount of newer until she's on 100% new formula.

Slowly introduce it. If needs be you can try and dream feed her as much as possible, if she's genuinely not taking anything in.

Poor thing, she'll get used to it eventually!

Yes, we had to mix it.

So for example if it’s 5 scoops in total you do 4 scoops old formula, 1 scoops new formula for the first feed then 3 scoops old and 2 scoops new for the next one.

And after a couple of days you’ll be on 100% new formula.

Try Nesquik or Vanilla essence. Both are perfectly acceptable fir a baby with suspected CMPA.
