Help is this a nursing strike?!

4 mo DS was, I thought, just a bit distracted at my breast. Now though he is fighting me when I try to feed him during the day. He turns red and strains to get away! When I do manage to get him latched on he feeds furiously for a few minutes then refuses the other breast.
I saw GP yesterday to check him over and no ear infection, etc. he is still gaining weight but more slowly (100g a week). He feeds better at night when he is sleepy but again only manages one boob before falling asleep.
GP said maybe teething as he has all the chewy dribbly symptoms.
I am upset, exhausted, can't leave the house as there is no way he would feed in ublic. Been getting tedily worse gor about a week.
I know he is too young to wean, and i so want to make it to 6 months exc bf as i have worked so bloody hard at it, but I am eyeing the bottle here....

Have you tries expressing and giving it in a bottle ? Might he be snuffly/blocked nose and so finding it harder to suck? Might be teething - Ashton and parsons powders, Nelsons teetha are good, teething gel...
Stick with it , try not to get too upset, am sure there will be more advice to come.

mandler, could be a nursing strike yes....this is something for one of the bf helplines, I think. You need to talk to someone who can ask questions.
