Is my 4 month old having too much formula?

Hello πŸ‘‹πŸ» I have a 4 month old son and he is currently on 7oz every 3 hours, I am just worried this is too much? He is a hungry baby and he’s around 17lb I would say (haven’t had him weighed for about 3 weeks and he was 16lb6 then)

Thank you ☺️

So how much formula would you say he's having in 24 hours and is he following his centiles?

You’d expect him to have around 2.5oz per lb of bodyweight in a 24 hour period. Is he having about that? If for example he’s sleeping through so a 12 hour stretch then you’d expect him to take a lot more during the day then a baby of the same age/weight who might be having 3 night feeds.

So he has 5 feeds a day as he sleeps around 11-12 hours per night. So he has 35oz in a 24 hour period xx
