Hi everyone. I have a six week old EBF DS and everything is going well, but he is waking every 90 mins or so at night for milk. I know that’s completely normal, but he is only drinking from one side and then falls straight back to sleep. I can’t help but think if he drank from both sides, like in the day, he’d sleep for longer. Last night he fell asleep without evening emptying the boob he was on and nothing I could do would wake him back up.

I try nappy changes, stripping him down, blowing on his face, gentle tickles etc.

Anyone got any other tips or should I just let him be and at least enjoy the fact he’s quick to go back to sleep even if he is waking regularly?!

Sounds like he is taking In as much as he can stomach, if he had too much he would probably be sick. Breast fed babies know how much they want. As he gets bigger he will take in more and sleep better. Keep on going mummy you’re doing a fab job! I found breast feeding quite hard and tiring but it does get easier over time.

@Scousefab he is fairly sicky during the day so you may be right!
