Baby is almost 15 weeks. Started FF along with BF about 2 weeks ago. BF was fine prior he was gaining weight well about 200grams a week but I couldn't keep BF all the time with a toddler and other responsibilities.

Now mainly FF having 5 or 6 180ml bottles in 24 hours. Some of EBM as I'm pumping every morning. BF at night but not much.

He was born on the 95th centile at 9.1lbs. He was around the 60th centile till introducing formula. . Now he's on the 80th centile after 10 days since his last weight check.

I suppose I'm asking is it normal to gain so fast?? Myself and partner are very tall and his family are particularly well built Eastern Europeans. My DS1 was a big baby too after starting bottles at 4 months. I'm just worried could I be over feeding him?

We do paced feeding, I make sure he's not just crying for gas or tiredness etc before I feed him.

Sounds normal, yes

Given his centiles and family genetics I think it sounds perfectly normal Wink

Weight checks are a funny one as multiple things can skew it slightly, e.g did he just have a feed before being weighed? Had he done a poo? If not then that can add some weight onto the scales

baby might have also just gone through a growth spurt

Breast milk has more calories than formula - so provided you’re buying a reputable brand and following the instructions it should he ok.

honestly don’t worry! There’s too much pressure and expectation around feeding and weight. You’re not feeding him to much, he wouldn’t drink it, he may take a bit but then he would start messing about and spitting it out if he didn’t want it.

@WhiteBow2223 if you can, I'd add in an extra BF, just whilst the weather is so hot to keep LO hydrated Flowers
