Strange Poo!!

Have a 14 week old who has been on formula exclusively since 10 weeks.

He has had one episode of smelly pistachio coloured slimy poo yesterday with lots of farts(sorry) and pale yellow poo today.

He isn't vomiting and seems to be his usual sunny self other than the odd time that he seems to have cramps in his tummy but is easily consoled.

He takes four bottle feeds of 9-10 oz daily which is the correct total fluids for his weight but I wonder if the dodgy poo is coming from a bug or the massive amount of formula that he takes at one feed?

Can anyone advise please?? Have tried to give him smaller feeds more often but he's having none of it! I just cant believe that he can cope with all that milk at once!

Also, DS has shown a few symptoms of teething, lots of drooling and big rosy cheeks more frequently over the last few days. Don't know if this is significant.

I don't know about formula.

But. around this time is a growth spurt so that'll explain frequent feeding.

and teething will effect poo, usually a little more mucusy (in bf don'tknow if same in ff)

doesn't sound awful though, sure he's fine

Thanks, the logical part of me tells me that he'll probably get over it but the neurotic first time mother always has doubts!!

Any other poo experts out there??

no expert but when ds was on formula his poo was always pistacio coloured. teething seems to make it more acidic (i think) and smells a bit different.

Thanks, {smile}
