7 months old - off food and milk

Hello my 7 months old has been really off her food for the past 2 weeks.

She takes about half of what she used to take at each bottle and I assumed that she was bored of milk and wanted more solids but she barely eats those either

I know there are up and downs with feeding but 2 weeks is a very long time.

Overall she is still above the intake level at which the GP would be concerned but it's been quite a lengthy and dramatic decline and I don't know what to do

If she’s otherwise healthy and happy just try not to worry. Babies do weird things, I’m sure just to stress us out. She’s probably just going through a phase, I’m sure you would know if she’s got a virus or teething as they may make her eat less. Try not to put pressure on yourself and her. We all want our babies to do what they should be doing when we think they should be, drinking and eating the amount we think they should be and when they don’t we either think we’re doing something wrong or there’s something wrong with them. If she’s satisfied and not in any distress, then I’m sure she’s fine. If you’re worried keep an eye on her weight. I’m sure you have tried most things so haven’t really got any suggestions. Take her swimming that always makes me starving lol. I know it’s very stressful, believe me I have a 3 month old that 2 weeks ago was drinking 1 oz and hour and even now still drinks what a 2 week old drinks. Surprisingly babies are quite good at knowing what they need and how much cause he’s still a good weight and miraculously puts on every week. I know cause I actually brought my own scales cause I was so worried about it. I tried everything to get him to drink more but nothing I did made a difference. So I had to take a deep breath and look at how happy and healthy he is.
Good luck just try and make meal times a happy time and if she doesn’t eat or drink just try again later.
