Baby pushing out bottle with tongue and gagging

My 3 month old DS has suddenly started pushing the bottle out with his tongue and gagging more on the bottle.

He had a feed at 4:45am and took 130ml. It’s now been almost 4 hours since and I would expect him to take another feed, but he’s only taken 20ml. He just pushed the bottle out and gags. This is something that has started happening over the last week. The amount he’s feeding each day has also decreased.

We have changed the teat and it’s not made a difference. He still has wet / dirty nappies.

My first thought is perhaps a sore throat. Is he otherwise content? Is he acting hungry?

Thanks for your reply.

He does seem otherwise okay in himself. He isn’t really acting hungry either. I was wondering if his appetite has changed (used to feed every 2 or 3 hours during the day), so going to extend time between feeds today to see if it helps with his feeding.
