Reflux starting 10 weeks old? Or teething?

Hi

looking for some advice/opinions please as I am clueless as a FTM

baby is 10 weeks old. Had a tough start with bad colic and non stop crying which I think/thought we were coming out the other side of

he is fed cow and gate comfort formula then when out and about and over night we use the pre-made formula. We have done this since 3 weeks old and no change. Around 4 weeks I thought he had silent reflux, gaviscon constipated him and omeprazole gave him tummy ache and insomnia with bad wind so stopped both of these after about a week. Since then things gradually got better so I thought maybe no reflux after all. His cot is tilted too

last night after his feed, I wind him and keep him upright and hold him for minimum 30 mins to get him in a deep sleep. After his feed at 3.30 he just wouldn’t settle kept waking up and was actually a bit sick. Never really sick before, a little dribble after a bottle but this was more although not a full bottle full.

then today he has been crying in the bottle but could be wind/tiredness as he slept bad so he has been tired since he woke up and cranky. Tonight an hour after food he was sick again, not loads but white and enough to need to wipe. He has also been very dribbly, chewing his hand or putting it in his mouth and hitting his face/rubbing his face.

my friend thought it could be start of teething but 10 weeks is young? Or could this be reflux? Is it normal to randomly start at 10 weeks old?

Are you able to get a clean finger in to see if you can feel any teeth coming through @H44123?

I’ve noticed when mine has the pre-made formula, his reflux is miles worse, even whilst taking gaviscon. It has a gross smell to it too so they must add something to make it last. My advice would be to pre-make some bottles instead and refrigerate for the night feeds. I know the NHS guidance says to make completely fresh every time but it’s honestly so OTT, it’s like they think you must have a nanny on night feeds 🙄
Now mine is on 4 hour feeds I always have one ready in the fridge and when I’m heating that one up (submerged in a mug of boiling water) I make the next one for in 4 hours time. He’s never had any problem with his nappies and it’s much better for his tummy than the pre-made formula, which we now only use for emergencies only.
