Feeding aversion - 14w/o

I’ve posted a few times on here about my son who has had problems feeding since he was 5weeks. Cut a long story short he had severe pain feeding which has been diagnosed - he has GORD and CMPA and is on Neocate and Omeprazole now and I’m convinced the pain jas now gone.

the issue is his feeding is still a nightmare. I’ve predominantly dream fed in the last month or so because he rejects the bottle or shows conflict behaviour (taking a sip or two and then spitting it out). I have come round to the reality that he must have a feeding aversion - he is bottle fed. I am planning to do the Rowena Bennett programme shortly (as soon as he gets over his cold). But do people have any tips / advice / success stories for feeding aversions?

it’s been such a horrible time and I really could do with some positivity

I did Rowena Bennett and it changed our lives! Definitely do it as soon as baby’s cold has gone. The first few days are tough and anxiety inducing but it does work you just need to stick with it 100%

Thanks so much. Would you say your baby remained aversion free? How did it work when you moved onto solids?

Hi OP, ive just started this book/programme, day 3 here and already seeing some great improvements and a much happier baby!
This started 4 weeks ago, originally diagnosed with potential lactose intolerant & silent reflux....
I think reflux is spot on but not the intolerance....the bottle adversion techniques are working a dream already!! Baby is 12 weeks now and we will continue with it for sure! It was the most stressful time, baby would take 1oz every 3 hours before starting this... almost ended up in A&E! Now its 3-4oz every 3-4 hours and im led by her not by a schedule which i think is what caused all of this and my need for a routine, ive definitely learnt the hard way! Just trust your baby, but equally make sure any medical issues are under control first 💞

I feel for you, I've been there with 2 babies. Rowena Bennett works but you do need to stick to the rules even though it can be hard. Have you joined the Facebook support group for the programme? Xx

There's this one but there's another as well I don't think I'm a member of now which focuses on Rowena's programme xx
