Pelafina, yes, sounds like mastitis, I'm afraid - I've had it twice now and the hot/cold flu thing is definitely a symptom. Can you get to the GP today? You might need antibiotics (I have, both times), in which case you need to start on them asap. Paracetamol can help with the flueyness in the meantime. Oh, and keep feeding from that side - it's not pleasant and your lo might get a bit annoyed if the flow slows a bit, but it really does help.
Hope you feel better soon

Oh no, how rotten. I do hope you get it sorted quickly. Poor you

Like CB said, do keep feeding to try to clear it if you can.

sending get well vibes, pelafina.

Glad you got to see the doc so quickly. If you do end up having to take the antibiotics, you could try taking acidophilus tablets too - they're meant to see off the thrush threat! Hope it doesn't come to that and it clears up; fingers crossed you caught it early

I had mastitis recently - it was horrid but just forced myself to keep feeding DD from that side amd massaging my boob in a hot bath which made it feel better. The doc gave me antibiotics which cleared it up pronto, ANd i didn't get thrush as a result of taking them (for about the first time ever)
