18m old loves formula but throws up normal cows milk?

Has anyone experienced this? I'm trying to get DD to make the switch from formula to cows milk. She loves her formula and still drinks loads per day. I've started giving her cows milk in the morning and without fail she brings it back up...

I had assumed if she tolerates formula she wouldn't be lactose intolerant but maybe that's incorrect.

Any experience?

Hi,I gradually reduced the formula and replaced it for full milk ,so for example an 8oz bottle I'd put 7oz of formula and 1oz of milk for a few days and then lowered it putting more full fat milk and less formula in until he was completely on full fat milk

Maybe a full bottle is too much for her?

Primary lactose intolerance is rare in children and it’s most likely to be the proteins in the milk (CMPA ) as opposed to the sugars (Lactose ) .

My daughter could tolerate formula but kept having reactions to cows milk when we made the switch at 1 , upset tummy , rashes, obviously knew nothing about CMPA until an allergist diagnosed her with non Ige CMPA. Looking back she always had a rash when having yogurts . So I assume she was ok with baked milk but nothing like uncooked cheese yoghurts chocolate the top quarter of the milk ladder .

hope this makes sense and helps x

Thanks both! She has a sippy cup for the cows milk and takes as much/little as she wants. She seems to enjoy it when drinking it but it always comes back up.

She is very rashy, always has been. I might speak to a GP and take it from there.

Thanks!
