Ive bf dd for 21 weeks and since 21 weeks I have only been feeding her in the night and just from the one boob. Ive noticed that the boob I no longer feed from looks empty and seems to have lost its fullness. I wasnt exactly pamela anderson before but now they seem even smaller. Is there a chance that overtime they regain the fullness or do I have a lifetime of using chicken fillets to look forward to.

Why are you feeding just from the one side may I ask?!

Your breasts will return, kbaby, believe me. It takes a while after bf for the fat that gives breasts their shape and fullness to return...but it does come back :)

They may not be exactly the same, but time has marched on since you became pregnant, which is when the breasts first start to change :)

Moondog,
I only bf from the one side as I now only feed dd once during the night. Its the boob thats nearer to her in bed that I feed with. I know that I should alternate them but I didnt and now the other boobs too small and DD cant reach it unless I lift her and put her on the other side of me iyswim.

Oh! I see!

moondog · 07/12/2004 22:01

(Wish my 22 weeker only fed once in the night!)

kbaby · 09/12/2004 22:04

Moondog.
She may only feed once at night but its more to do with part of my ploy to get her sleepy enough to go back to sleep. Unfortunetly doesnt seem to work and this week ive had a dd who wakes at 2 and stays awake playing/moaning/crying until about 5am.

mine have never returned to their former glory Sad

the phrase "spaniel ears" springs to mind

Ditto SD!! Mine feel 'empty', just like a big flap of skin Shock - they used to be so firm and pert and pointy uppy!! LOL!!

That's 3 pregnancies for you I guess!
