Pls help-What’s causing very sensitive nipples?

Nearly 4 weeks into EBFing.

At first my nipples were extremely sore to feed / touch etc as the latch wasn’t great so they cracked. They then healed and since then feeding doesn’t hurt (other than for 10 seconds sometimes).
But if anything brushes past them, or the towel touches them after a shower, it’s agony. They are so tender and sensitive!
They look fine - no cracks, not shiny, pink. I think I do get vasospasms but can’t see how this would make then sensitive all the time?
Im wondering if it’s thrush as baby has a white tongue (but always has done since born) but I’m not sure as my nipples look fine and the white scrapes off babys tongue easily…
help please!

Don't know on this one sorry @BabyLT

I'd ask MNHQ to move this over to the Infant Feeding section to see if anyone has experienced the sane in there.

Congratulations on your new LO too Flowers

How do I do that? Thanks :)

If you swipe left on your post, you can report it and in the dialogue box, ask them to move your thread Flowers

Sounds like it could be thrush to me, I'd see your gp. Remember baby needs to be treated too or you'll get it again!

Sounds like thrush. Both you and baby need to be treated.

I’d definitely see your dr to see if it’s thrush. We had it when baby was tiny and I’m sorry to say it lasted weeks. We kept cross infecting. In the end myconazole gel was what eventually got rid of it for us. Good luck, I know how sore it can be.
