GRIPE WATER IN BOTTLE?

hi everyone I have 4.5 week old and he suffers so bad with wind it's such a struggle trying to burp him someone suggested putting gripe water in the bottle he takes 4oz? How much gripe water do I put in I have siringes.

I used to put some in the teat of the bottle not with milk worked a treat.

Try infacol. You give it before each feed. Worked wonders for my very windy DS. He's nearly 10now but I still remember the orange smell

They usually don't mind the taste. You can just give it directly from the syringe. 5ml per feed at that age.

I can't even remember if am honest would have just been the dosage put into the teat.

@yvonneb13 how are you getting on? If baby is still struggling I'd try Dentinox in the bottle instead of gripe water, it's usually much more effective.

You might also want to look at the symptoms of Tongue Tie.

If the Dentinox doesn't help and Tongue Tie has been ruled out, I'd try a comfort formula and if you are using a perfect prep, try making the bottles without it fir a few days as some babies can't cope with the air bubbles it creates in the formula.

Tried gripe water dunno if it was just a coincidence but after baby seamed so much worse screaming and in pain like worse than he was before so I'm back using infacol and it's working at lot better

Back using that again and it seems to working much better much happier baby gripe water seamed do have made all his symtoms alot worse

Don't bother. There are much better products out there and really you need to be finding out what's causing the pain.
