On nutramigen but still not 100%

My 4.5month old is on nutramigen for suspected CMPA but I still don’t think he’s 100% on it. His eczema has cleared up loads but he is still sooooo windy and up nearly every hour of the night crying because he needs to pass wind. He still doesn’t want to drink too much either. I’m at a loss as to what to do.

We have a dietician appointment on Monday, is it worth pushing for AA formula? Does anyone have experiences of AA formula helping to settle windy babies?

TIA

My baby showed her worst reaction when we tried nutramigen puramino because it contains soy.
She’s now on neocate which is dairy and soy free and although she’s still quite a sicky baby, she’s not in any pain.
Good luck!

Echoing the PP. You might ask if you can try Neocate. Nutramigen wasn’t quite right for DS either.

Nutramigen wasn’t right for my baby either in fact it was the worst out of the hydrolysed formulas we tried. We pushed for Neocate and his symptoms went away within a few bottles. Some children done settle on Neocate due to the coconut , but there is also SMA Alfamino AA formula x

Try Neocate

Thanks everyone yes I think I will ask for the AA formula and see how he gets on. For context I breast fed for 2.5 months and I’m actually vegan and he was fine on my milk and sleeping 8 hour stretches at night! Had to stop as he has tongue tie that we got cut twice and reattached twice! Which meant he wasn’t feeding efficiently, dropping percentiles and my supply depleted.

im convinced the CMPA is what is keeping him up at night! So will try the AA formula
