My little one is just coming up to 10months, his usual schedule is;
6:30am wake up 7oz feed.
8:30am breakfast.
9:30am nap till 11:00.
11:00am snack.
12:30am lunch.
2:00pm 7oz feed and nap.
4:00am wake up.
5:30 tea & pudding.
7:00pm 7oz feed and bed.
sleeps through.
he’s recently started refusing lunch and tea. He will happily eat puddings and all his brekkie. He loves fruit and yoghurt but he’s been really fussy with actual meals. He tries a little bit but then won’t eat any. He’s also refusing to outright eat at nursery and they are concerned and now considering offering him extra milk feeds (at 11am) instead.
my HV advised me that because he wakes up happy, and doesn’t cry for milk. To not offer the morning feed and just go straight to breakfast. I’ve trialed this and he was fine, but needed his 2pm bottle earlier (straight after lunch) and still only ate a small amount of lunch. I didn’t think you should drop morning feeds?
Any advice? Carry on as we are till 12 months, or try keep dropping that morning bottle to increase dinner and tea intake.
thanks!🫶🏼🤎
