Returning to work and pumping

I am going to be returning to work in 2 months when baby will be a year old. I don’t want to stop breastfeeding just cause I’m returning to work so will need to pump at work.

I don’t have that much experience with pumping so could use some tips! How can I store the milk at work and make sure the pump is clean to ensure milk is safe for baby?

thank you!

I researched this but never actually needed to do it (one advantage of lockdown happening as soon as I went back to work).
So if I remember correctly: Assuming you are planning to do it more than once a day, freshly sterilise it in the morning and keep in a clean container. Once you have used it to pump, seal the bottle and put a fresh empty bottle on. Store both milk and pump (no need to clean again, but maybe a sandwich bag over the top) in a fridge or cool bag with ice pack. Then use the pump directly when you need to do it again.
