encouraging a cup and stopping biting

Dd2 (nearly 9 mo) has just cut her first teeth and bit me whilst they were pushing through. Then she got a cold and bit me in frustration when she couldn't breathe to feed. I want to get her to take a cup but she refuses. What can I do to encourage her to take a cup, or stop her biting in the future? I am dreading the top teeth coming!

Hi

my dd bit me for about a week when her first tooth came through. I just took her off every time and she learned not to do it. If she's biting then she's not feeding as tongue should cover bottom teeth. top teeth shouldn't cause a problem as they just rest on the breast - it's the lower jaw that does al the work. No idea about getting her to take a cup as we haven't managed that one yet!!
