How long does your LO BF for?

4 weeks old, baby will feed for around 30-40 minutes on one breast and when offered the other, around 10 minutes or so.

Is this considered within normal range? Interested to hear if anyone else has LO's around the same age who BF.

Yes, that seems quite usual for my little one- 3 wks and 3 days old. Occasionally slightly shorter and I swap sides more if I am a little sore rather than drain each side at a time. He has started spitting up small amounts this week, but I am on antibiotics myself so think this might be the cause, or it could be a little gas.

Mine would feed for an hour (or two or more in the evening). My friends lo of the same age was done in 10 minutes. Normal is a very wide range!

DD, quickly got down to 2 mins, one boob, every hour (forever!!!!)

DS was pretty quick to got down to 4 mins, one boob every 2-3 hours

I don't think i really spent 30-40 mins feeding passed the first week or two but I know from talking to others my two are weird 😅

Thank you for the replies!

@chuggabo my LO started spitting up around week 3 too. Spoke to HV today as was a little concerned about reflux but she wasn't too concerned about it.

@olderthanyouthink I would love to get down to those times 😂
