Milton steriliser for bottles

Hi all,

FTM here. I’m just wondering if anyone has used miltons cold water sterilising for their baby’s bottles? I’ve just changed to it from a steam steriliser but now some bottle brands don’t mention cold water sterilising as suitable as sitting in the water can damage the teat? I thought the beauty of Milton was I could leave the bottles in until I was ready to use?

Thanks all!

In the time I used it I never had any issues! You change the water every 24hrs and all of my items were fine (MAM bottles, nipple shields, dummies, breast pump parts etc) all were fine.

Yep me too - everything went in there for my first and is going in again now for my second! Bottles, pump, dummies, teeters, etc. X

I used Milton tabs with ds as he was ebf so not many things needed sterilised. He was early and I hadn't had a chance to get something fancy. I got the actual Milton plastic tub for about £8 but my midwife in delivery said you can throw it in any plastic tub
I didn't leave anything in longer than 30 mins. The only thing I noticed being damaged if leaving longer than that were teats. So just don't leave them in and it'll be quick ( added bonus the Milton tabs will make your kitchen smell great too!)
