Strange feeding habits

I sometimes think my DS (10 wks) must be part puppy... I say this because when he is feeding he does that cycling thing that dogs do with a back leg when you tickle their sides - you know what I mean - that rapid kicking thing. This, coupled with him farting with almost every kick, makes discreet breast feeding in public difficult if not impossible although we do get some tolerant and amused glances .

Sorry if these are frivolous questions but I'd like views on whether this kicking is a habit I should try and break? Will he grow out of it or am I doomed to be a source of amusement for passers by?

No idea on the kicking but my DD farted loudly and jetted out streams of poo EVERY time I nursed her as a newborn.

Literally milk in one end equalled poo out the other....part of the joy of nursing a newborn

My ds is 6.5 months and always kicks his left leg in the air for the duration of the feed - lots of farting here too!

I think frivolous questions are very important and need to be asked... I seem to have new ones on a daily basis!

BabiesEverywhere - yep - until 3 weeks ago we had the same. DH called it the MIPO principle i.e Milk In Poo Out.

PinkPussyCat - 6.5 months and still doing the puppy dog? I'd better get used to it then and try not to snigger too much.

Sorry broguemum... you've a wee while to go yet it seems. And so, I fear, do I!
