Baby formula

Hi there, I’m looking for advice as a new mum. I changed my 5 week old babies formula a week ago to kendamil as the aptamil was not agreeing with her and now I’m not sure if the kendamil is either! I try breaking her wind after every ounce and since changing her formula she hates to be winded most of the time! She will get wind up however but after it it’s like she’s still full of wind. She spits out after her bottle even after leaving her to sit up for 20-30 mins. Since changing her formula a week ago her night time routine has completely changed. No matter what we do she will scream and be unsettled from a certain time of night and nothing will settle her. It’s like she has a pain always at that time of the night. She has had some runny nappies but it’s like she’s struggling to get them out before hand and I’ve noticed more mucus in them. Has anyone else had this with kendamil before? Or has anyone any advice? Thank you in advance from one tired mammy!

I was going to suggest Tongue Tie and that still might be affecting things but with the mucus in the poo it sounds as though it could be Cow's Milk Protein Allergy.

I'd have a read of the article above and book in to see your GP. The only way to diagnose is to try formulas suitable for CMPA. I'd also ask for a referral to a Paediatric Dietitian as by the time you get to see one you'll probably be weaning Wink
