Baby won't take lactulose

I have a 3 month old who is taking lactulose for constipation caused by her Gaviscon.

I just can't get her to take it! I've tried giving from a teat, and I have also tried with a syringe. She just spits it all out!

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Have you tried getting the syringe into the side of her mouth and squirting it in there, it's much harder for them to spit out that way!

You can put it directly into the milk if she's bottle fed. I would put it into a small amount of milk then give the rest of the milk once the lactulose has been taken.

That's amazing. Thank you both. I'll give both of these a try.

Would trying a different reflux medication help too @Eryr22?

@PritiPatelsMaker that did cross my mind but her reflux is now non existent with the Gaviscon, and she's taking Lactulose from the bottle with a little bit of milk and no more constipation! She's like a new, happy baby 🥰
