Hi Everyone my daughter was 1 in January she has a dairy allergy . From 4/5 months she dropped night feeds completely . 6/7 months we have dropped all bottles besides bedtime bottle she is a very good eater on solids eats 2 spud dinners a day and 2/ 3 snacks a day . she is still on formula and has soya milk just in breakfast we haven't transitioned to drinking soya in bottles yet. When whe was 9/ 10 months she has been taking night feeds most nights 2/3 times it coulds be 4oz or 7oz each time just depends . We tried water but she gets so unsettled till she gets her bottle then goes straight back to sleep most times on the bottle any tips please ?

Is she getting enough protein and fat in her diet? Which brand of soya milk is she on? Does she get enough calcium during the day?

@emma2201 can I ask how you got on, as we;re in the same boat with night feeds? Our 13 month old wakes 2/3 times and won't settle without milk- anything between 3-6oz and sometimes a breastfeed too as she's combi fed. We try shushing, rocking etc but she just screams blue murder!

Are they in there're own room @MooMa83 and have you tried Dr Jay Gordon's Method?

@SiouxsieSiouxStiletto she is in her own room. We were co sleeping up to around 6/7 months and she was waking hourly. Tried her in her own room as an experiment and she slept so much better. From then she has continued to wake anything from 1-3 times a night (usually twice). We have tried Dr Jay Gordon's method but she goes nuclear with any other form of comforting. Perhaps we just need to persevere, but it has got to a point when she's waking up the other children 😔. I've been hoping she just naturally night weans. I'm worried about tooth decay with overnight milk, as one of my other children has issues with her teeth unfortunately. She eats well during the day, but we have now introduced two snacks as well as two 6oz bottles of milk (cows milk), plus 7oz before bed, and breastfeeds on demand too. Feels like a huge amount!
