Hi I think I’m just after someone to tell me I’m not on my own as my anxiety is back and now obsessing on the fact my lo is off her feeds, she’s nearly 7mo ff and I introduced weaning at about 6 months she was loving it and her appetite for milk also increased, she was 5lb 4oz born classed as lbw and followed 25th centile till about 5monthsnwhere she was on 50th at last weigh, she was sick in the night a week ago and ever since then I can get about 3/4oz in her at a feed then she’ll push it away and even start heaving at the teat. With her weaning she’s only been having a small amount of baby rice with her formula and purée for breakfast and then some little tastes of purée at dinner and tea nothing substational and then been giving her finger foods to explore. So I can’t really make up I feel the lost bits through her food. She’s gone from 4 7oz bottles to 3 or 4 bottles maximum a day with the first and last being about 6oz but any others just 2oz. She’s been having some water she’s having about 4-5 wet nappies a day although not heavily wet like before she’s totally happy in herself very alert and playing and sociable. Nights she’s now very restless. I just logically know it’s either a phase or teeth or she hasn’t pooped since Friday late morning so could be that as to why it’s dropped off so much, or does anyone have any advice to just stop me worrying constantly lol sorry for this ramble I hope it half makes sense.

I'd change how you're feeding the solids for a few days and just give her breakfast. It could be anything, it doesn't have to be just baby rice and formula.

How about trying something like scrambled eggs or some ready brek with banana as a finger food?

Then just have lunch and dinner when she's asleep and offer the bottles that she had before.

Could it be time to change the teats on your bottles to faster flow ones?

I had a similar issue at about 6mo and that fixed the problem

thank you both I think I’m going to start just with breakfast as suggested thank you, also I have tried her with size 3 mam teats today and she just choked so I think it’s still too much for her,

Well we managed nearly 23oz today she is very blocked up bless her she has cmpa and reflux so is on nutragimen and gaviscon which doesn’t help anyway but with solids I think I’ve just not realised how much her tummy would change, I also accidentally gave her something containing real cheese for tea so she has had a bad couple of hours. But milk is on the uo today and 4 dirty nappies so fingers crossed we are on the uo.

Hope you've had a good night. I've got CMPA and I know that cheese wouldn't just give me a bad couple of hours Flowers

If she's constipated it could be the gaviscon. It's probably worth asking for a different reflux medication.

Hi thank you yes I’ve recently upped it to 2 per feed as she’s above the weight and was having 7oz I’ve been giving her this finger food for a few days and I think I may have irritated her allergy I feel so bad, she’s had a feed at 2.55am and then 9am both about 5.5oz she is very alert and with it so I think I need to just relax a bit lol
