BF and eczema

Poor ds has eczema . It is so upsetting, he is only 4 mo and his chest and legs are fiery red.
Thing is he is exclusively bf - I thought that would protect him! What happens when he is weaned? Do I need to be careful of allergies?
ANd would my diet have caused it?

they often grow out of it. from experience it often seems to come at around 4 months, coinciding with vaccinations. it's nothing to do with bfing or not. by bfing you are providing long term health benefits to your baby. don't be put off. there is some difference between baby eczema and adult eczema which is linked to other allergies.
