8 month old rejecting evening feed. help please.

ds 8 1/2 months old. i currently bf twice a day, 7 am and 7 pm. he also has a bottle at 10pm.

for the past few weeks he has been rejecting his evening bf and doesn't even watch to latch on. previously he loved it so much he would wiggle with glee when he saw me after his bath.

he still loves his morning feed.

i've tried feeding him lying down, but that hasn't helped.

any suggestions/advice would be gratefully received.

Perhaps he's a bit more tired and he can't be bothered with that feed after his bath.

Could you try having a slightly earlier bath with a gap before bedtime, then offer the breast and see if he takes it then?

sorry, just got back to the computer! he is now poorly, and isn't interested in much. he did feed a little more than he had been doing, but not for more than a minute.

he did have a good feed one evening before his bath, which was a good hour before he goes to bed. if it doesn't improve when he's better i may try doing that.
