DS been slow to put on weight since birth. Now he is tailing of to below the charts. He's really active and is happy, is on 3 meals a day but I don't know whether I'm just being sentimental about bf? (Just to say my other 2 dc were on bottles by now so I'm not anti-formula)...

Is he losing weight?
Is he healthy in every other way?
Do you want to carry on breastfeeding?
Could you maybe offer him the breast more often?
I think, but a not completely sure that a lot of babies weight gain slows down during weaning anyway because they are filling up quicker on food with less calories, maybe bump up the calories in the food he is eatin if you're worried about his weight but nothing else.

What does he eat on average on a daily basis?
Don't give up breastfeeding just yet, if you dont want to, there are plenty of other things you can do, stopping breastfeeding should bea choice, not a forced decision.

My dd's weight gain slowed when she went onto formula, I think because a smaller amount was filling her for longer so she was taking less. That is different to most peoples experience though I think.
