Newborn latch & positioning problems - help!

I had DD2 on monday morning and I'm having some problems getting breastfeeding going properly. I fed DD until she was over a year old so I foolishly thought it would be easy to get going this time!
I've been using the cross cradle hold as thats what I'm used to but I can't get DD2 to latch on properly. She barely opens her mouth and when she does go on well she adjusts her position so that it's wrong again. I've tried taking her off and relatching her on but it makes her more determined to stay on and hurts me even more!
My milk hasn't come in yet which is making her more impatient but obviously this is something I need to sort out before things get worse. My nipples are quite sore, I've been using kamillosan and keeping them exposed as much as possible.
My midwife is visiting on monday but if needed I could get her to check on us earlier & check my positioning. Would it be worth trying a different position? Also how can I get her to gape more?
Thanks for any advice, I'm fed up with the pain!
