Just stopped bfing - when does my body get back to normal?

I just finished breastfeeding on Saturday after 14 months. My DS was only on one feed a day and so the transition has been completely painless for both of us (yippee!). However the only change I've noticed in my body is that I've lost some weight (double yippee!) but my boobs are still bigger than pre-preg (triple whammy yippee!).

I'm desperate to buy some stylish new bras but should I wait a few weeks first (i.e is it possible that even after 4 days there may be boob shrinkage)? And roughly how long should it take before all the bfing hormones have left and my body's completely mine again?

i was told that it can take up to 2 years for your body to return to its pre-preg state. my DD is 2.1yo and i still havent got back to what i was. i did put weight on during BF though and i have got HORRENDOUS stretchmarks so i wont be back to normal. i think you are meant to get measured about 6 weeks after you finish BF as they are meant to have gone down completely by then iyswim HTH

Poo, pants! I was hoping that my poor aching body would have left me a little gift of bigger boobs as a 'well done for going through such hell' prize!
